.our first holiday

Maybe it's not a exotic as Bali, but I always love Singapore. Once arrive, we go to the apartment first to pop our stuffs. Then we meet Patris and Colbert at City Hall. Time to eat! They take us to a food court full of Japanese food. Yummy. Later that night we eat at another Japanese Restaurant with my siblings. Ok, I wonder if we are at Singapore or Japan?

Day 2 is filled with eating bakuteh for breakfast, shopping at Orchard and Far East, a small reunion with Ite and Onel at NYDC, then shopping at Plaza Singapore. Jeez, I feel so tired, am I getting old? Sorry, feet.

Day 3 we go to Vivocity and Bugis. Then we're having steamboat for dinner. Don't ask me where. Only my hubby knows. It's not popular among tourists, I think, but the restaurant is crowded and I can say that the Hainam Rice is so damn good.

The next day, I have to visit someone that I really hate but I have to. Sigh. He did something to me and I have to go back tomorrow. Huh. Thank God we have Far East and China Town. Then we go to East Coast to have dinner with Patris, Colbert and my sibs.

Last day, and like I said, I have to go back to his place. Just by looking at his face, I can tell that it's not a good news. Damnit. Why me? Why? Thank God, hubby is always beside me. For good times and bad times, rite, babe? Now, I just want to go home.
*jakarta... for the first time, i miss you...

Three days after the party, we go to Bali for our honeymoon trip. For the next 4 days/3 nights we're going to stay at The Conrad, Nusa Dua. The hotel is very beautiful, with a view straight to the ocean and private beach for the guests. Our room has a back door that opens directly to the swimming pool. Nice.

Day 1. We arrive in the evening so after check in, we take a quick rest first before hitting Bali. At night we go to Kuta and have dinner at Gabah Restaurant. I like the Sate Lilit Ikan (Fish Satay) though it's a bit expensive.

Day 2. Sukawati. This really is a heaven for any shopper in the world. So many shops, so little time. But still, we bring home many shopping bags because the price is ssoooo cheap. Then we have lunch at the infamous Bu Oka before going to Goa Gajah. If you go here, don't forget to wash your hands (or feet maybe) with the water from the pond. They say it can bring you good luck. Dinner is at Jimbaran, watching the sun goes down. Beautiful.

Day 3. We make a bad decision to go outdoor today because it is so damn hot. Tanah Lot. GWK. Uluwatu. See? A very bad decision. Luckily, we're going to a spa after that. Feel so relaxed and ready to have another round in Jimbaran. Different restaurant, tastier food, same incredible view.

Last day. Just hanging around the hotel, waiting for our delayed flight because of the flood in Jakarta. Perhaps we can extend the stay for... let's say... another month? Haha.

*hope we'll see you again soon, bali!

Finally, dear, this is the day.

The sweet torture starts from 3am, very early in the morning and finishes at 11pm, late at night.

After a session of applying heavy make up and hair spray, mom and dad join me to put on the accessories and close my veil. Then my lovely groom comes, bringing a very beautiful hand bouquet. It's a combination of white and pink tulips, very elegant and sweet. There's also 'Onde Eating' ceremony and Tea Pai Ceremony to respect the elderlies.

Moving on to the groom's house, we're doing the similar ceremonies all over again. Once we're done, we go to the church. Then it's time for me to walk down the aisle with my dad, the moment that I've been dreaming of. God, thanks for all this opportunity, especially to be standing here in front of You. Please always bless our marriage and our loved ones and surround us with lots of kids.

After that we go to the hotel for the wedding reception. We're so happy that all of our closest friends and family show up.

Thanks all! Thank you vendors. Thank you family. Thank you Yola, my maid of honour. Thank you Patricia, for going all the way from Singapore, and Iin from Manila, bringing a tiny bump inside. Thank you Astrid for your sacrifices to wear a gown *you look great, girl!*
