.full of fun

Two of my closest friends live outside Indonesia, and it is very rare for the four of us to hang out together. But last week, they both managed to come to Jakarta and spent three consecutive days having fun.

Day one. Lunch at Tayang Suki, MOI and ride train with the kids around the mall.

Day two. Playdate at my house. I must admit it was a bit frustrating to gather three kids with different eating and napping schedule, but we really enjoyed it.

Day three. Mom's day out at Loewy, Oakwood Building Mega Kuningan. Kids were left at home with their grandparents. Then, three cocktails, three appetizers, four main courses, two desserts and three hours later we went home happily, cherishing our friendships.

*i wonder when we can do this again

.first visit

Today Josh is going to travel... around Jakarta hehe. First stop: Ance & Ela's house at Anton. She just gave birth a beautiful baby girl. So cute. Can't believe that Josh used to be that small!

Next stop: my parents's house. After they played with Josh, all of us went to Grand Indonesia. Josh loved the mall! He's so captured with the lights and sounds inside. We also bought a formal outfit for Josh to wear on my sister-in-law's wedding. I'm so damn sure that my baby will look handsome wearing this outfit.

It's so fun going out with Josh. Should do that more often. It's a way to introduce the world to Josh and Josh to the world :)

.a fat week

Last week was full with birthday lunch/dinner.

The first one was at the office, the day after my birthday. I celebrate it with my 2 colleagues who are having their birthdays on 22nd. We ordered Pempek Abing and cake from Dapur Cokelat. But then our colleagues also ordered a cake. And our ex-colleague came and brought another cake. 3 cakse in a day.

Later that night, I had dinner at Loewy with hubby. Place is nice and cozy. These are what we ordered:
1. Fresh Orange Juice
2. Escargot (only 6pcs for IDR40,000. I prefer Praline's)
3. Crab Ravioli (only 3 pcs and could hardly taste the crab)
4. Tenderloin Steak (only 4 small pcs but I have to admit, they're very tender)

Additional order (the portions were very small!)
5. Lobster Bisque (don't like the smell)
6. Half of Mille Feuille (I prefer Koi's)

Don't forget the cake. We had 2 cakes from Boboh Gombong. Another one from hubby's uncle. One ice cream cake from my mom and dad. Can you imagine that? For the whole week I was sure that I would have cake for my dessert.

But the party wasn't over yet. We had lunch on Saturday with friends. Thankfully, they didn't bring any cake.

Then we had family lunch on Sunday at Sun City, Hayam Wuruk. The lunch was great until someone brought another cake...

*pleeeasee no more cake for the time being...

.winnie the pooh

Made this for my colleague, Emil, who will resign soon. Lovely, don't you think. It's quite simple because it's small. But having a bit trouble with the yellow gradation.

*good luck on your new job!

.our first holiday

Maybe it's not a exotic as Bali, but I always love Singapore. Once arrive, we go to the apartment first to pop our stuffs. Then we meet Patris and Colbert at City Hall. Time to eat! They take us to a food court full of Japanese food. Yummy. Later that night we eat at another Japanese Restaurant with my siblings. Ok, I wonder if we are at Singapore or Japan?

Day 2 is filled with eating bakuteh for breakfast, shopping at Orchard and Far East, a small reunion with Ite and Onel at NYDC, then shopping at Plaza Singapore. Jeez, I feel so tired, am I getting old? Sorry, feet.

Day 3 we go to Vivocity and Bugis. Then we're having steamboat for dinner. Don't ask me where. Only my hubby knows. It's not popular among tourists, I think, but the restaurant is crowded and I can say that the Hainam Rice is so damn good.

The next day, I have to visit someone that I really hate but I have to. Sigh. He did something to me and I have to go back tomorrow. Huh. Thank God we have Far East and China Town. Then we go to East Coast to have dinner with Patris, Colbert and my sibs.

Last day, and like I said, I have to go back to his place. Just by looking at his face, I can tell that it's not a good news. Damnit. Why me? Why? Thank God, hubby is always beside me. For good times and bad times, rite, babe? Now, I just want to go home.
*jakarta... for the first time, i miss you...

Finally, dear, this is the day.

The sweet torture starts from 3am, very early in the morning and finishes at 11pm, late at night.

After a session of applying heavy make up and hair spray, mom and dad join me to put on the accessories and close my veil. Then my lovely groom comes, bringing a very beautiful hand bouquet. It's a combination of white and pink tulips, very elegant and sweet. There's also 'Onde Eating' ceremony and Tea Pai Ceremony to respect the elderlies.

Moving on to the groom's house, we're doing the similar ceremonies all over again. Once we're done, we go to the church. Then it's time for me to walk down the aisle with my dad, the moment that I've been dreaming of. God, thanks for all this opportunity, especially to be standing here in front of You. Please always bless our marriage and our loved ones and surround us with lots of kids.

After that we go to the hotel for the wedding reception. We're so happy that all of our closest friends and family show up.

Thanks all! Thank you vendors. Thank you family. Thank you Yola, my maid of honour. Thank you Patricia, for going all the way from Singapore, and Iin from Manila, bringing a tiny bump inside. Thank you Astrid for your sacrifices to wear a gown *you look great, girl!*

.an old friend of mine

My mom's best friend's daughter is getting married and I go to their house today to help them on a Chinese ceremony called Sangjit. We used to play together when we're kids, and now she's about to enter a another chapter of her life. I feel happy for her.

On our way back home, we get a news that my uncle's wife has just gave birth to their first son. So we go straight to the hospital and take a glimpse to the cute baby. Congratulations! Hope this baby will bring more happiness, luck and love to the family.

*hope my turn is coming soon
