.34w

First day of Christmas holiday and off to the ob-gyn we were.

Weight: 64,2kg
Blood pressure: 110/70
Baby's weight: 2,23kg (no wonder I feel so tired these days)

The doctor found that the umbilical cord was on the back of the baby's head. But he said that it's ok and hopefully wouldn't interfere the birthing process. I hope so.

*be careful in there, baby

.can hardly wait

8 months already and I really can't wait to meet this special person. Plus I got paranoid most of time, scared something would happen to the baby. No wonder Tom Cruise bought an USG machine!

I thank my friend, Iin, for introducing me to What To Expect When You're Expecting book. It's a very informative book, recommended. It has all the answers to my questions.

*another one month, baby

.birthday boy

Yesterday was hubby's birthday and we celebrated it just the two of us. Wishing you all the very best in life, love (with me of course hehe) and family. God bless you always, honey.

For this birthday, I bought him short sleeves shirts and tie bag. I also bought a very nice book, To The Man I Love. The book is simple but I fell in love with the content.

Thank you for being on time for our first date and trying so hard to make it a great one.
Thank you for watching sunsets with me.
Thank you for noticing me and knowing it was love at first sight.

...and other sweet things like that.

Later that night, we enjoyed our fine-dining at Scusa, Hotel Intercontinental Midplaza. The restaurant was nice though a bit expensive, but the food was really good.

We ordered Homemade Angel Hair Lobster Pasta (IDR245,000++), Lamb Shank and Fresh Orange Juices. At first the portions looked so small but after I finishes the meal, oh dear, that was the first time I felt full since I was pregnant!

*love you much much!

.happy shopping

Finally, it's time to shop for baby stuffs. We went to Audrey Baby Shop at Cempaka Mas. Good choice. The mall wasn't too crowded and the shop's big. All we had to do was sitting with the list in our hands and one of the employee would bring the stuffs for us to choose.

Then we came home with:

Swaddle
Diapers from Fluffy
Long sleeves shirts from Nova
Short sleeves shirts from Libby
Sleeveless shirts from Fluffy

.diet

For the very, VERY, first time I have to go on diet! Not literally, but still... Here's why.

31w4d
Weight: 62,3kg (it means I gain 3kg for only 2 weeks)
Blood pressure: 110/60 (a bit low but not a big problem)

That's why the doctor tell me not to eat sweet food at night. Plus, reduce the rice. However, the baby is doing just fine. Hearbeat is 140 (normal range is120-160).

Baby's weight: 1.888kg
Okay, no wonder I sometimes feel uncomfortable when sleeping. Normal weight should be 1.5kg. Hehe.

*hiks, no more chocolate cake at nights

.hi you

Finally, time for 3D/4D USG.

Firstly, we want to see his face but the hands cover it. So we check his body first and all is great. Thank God. He's 1.590kg now. Then we go back to his face, and after some time he finally shows us his cute face. It's 99% hubby.

Oh, it amazes me so much. I still can't believe that I'm carrying a very delicate yet beautiful human being inside of me. It's incredible.

*love you so much, baby!

.29w

Weight: gain 0.5kg
Blood pressure: 110/80
Baby's weight: 1.5kg

This visit I ask about some red dots that suddenly appear on my stomach but the doctor says that it's a common symptom. Baby is active and chubby.

It's almost 7 months, so next month I can start shopping for baby stuffs.

*yeepee, shopping!

.another check up

Weight: gain 3.5kg
Blood pressure: 110/60 (a bit low, but overall it's ok. Maybe a bit more rest or sport).

He weighs around 1.2kg. Very small. Or so we think. Because the doctor says that it's a bit above average. This time we can see the silhouette of the head. So cute. It feels very real now.

*hope you'll be as cute as the silhouette

.oldies

My friend/boss found this program that can make you look like you're born in the 60's. Funny. Even at first I didn't recognize some of my colleagues.

.kicking and punching

Ndut is getting bigger and more active. He likes to kick and punch me from the inside. It's cute but sometimes a bit hurt. But I love it, I can really feel him inside me.

The funny thing is, he starts kicking early in the morning when hubby's alarm is on. It's an upbeat Madonna's song, so either he likes the song or he's startled.

He also likes to eat a lot - through me, of course. No wonder I really look like a pregnant penguin who tucks a basketball inside her shirt. This makes me hard to sleep on my back, so now I have to sleep on side.

*fat but happy

.it's a

BOY! Just like I'd expected. But either way, as long as the baby is healthy, boy or girl, doesn't matter at all.

Hubby and I are very very excited and now we're looking for the name. Apparently there are better choices for girl rather than boy. Oh no.

*let us just call you ndut for now, ok?

.winnie the pooh

Made this for my colleague, Emil, who will resign soon. Lovely, don't you think. It's quite simple because it's small. But having a bit trouble with the yellow gradation.

*good luck on your new job!

.sad news

From my auntie who's expecting her first daughter. She's having a stillbirth. We're all very shocked with news, specially because the pregnancy didn't have any problem at all. But then, everything happens for a reason. I'm sure this one.

Please give strength to the parents, God. Goodbye little baby. Don't be sad, auntie, I'm sure your little girl has become an angel.

This news affects me a bit. I'm scared that it will happen to me and my little one *knock on wood*. I promise to myself that I will be very careful.

*hope everything will be okay for us, baby!

.welcome home

Yeepee. Hubby is back from his trip to Japan. No more lonely nights and empty bed. He also brought lots of Doraemon stuffs.

1. A rounded Doraemon pillow. Not sure for what but could be for massage/spa where you can place your face on the hole.
2. A pen with Doraemon face on top. Press it then the legs will come out. Hihi.
3. Doraemon coaster with six different patterns.
4. Doraemon handphone chain.
5. Doraemon coin bank.
6. Lots of snacks.
7. My favorite 'little burger cookies', though actually the price is not much cheaper from Food Hall. Hehe

*but most importantly, hubby's back

.mom-to-be

We're going to have a cute little addition into our family!

So for the next 7.5 months (because this bump is already 1.5 months), my schedule will be full with doctor appointments and eating. The doctor confirms that we're going to be mom and dad early next year.

The first trimester was exhausting and torturing. I'm having this all-day-long sickness. I surely cannot eat for two. I sleep most of the time. I fell so tired easily. I really cannot eat vegetable. I hate the smell of fish - I cannot even think about it.

Thankfully, it's getting better on the second trimester and I eat like a pig. These are what I bring when I go to the office.

1. Two breads (one for breakfast, one for snack).
2. A bottle of warm soybean.
3. Two boiled eggs.
4. Lunch.
5. Cut fruit plus banana.
6. Crackers and other snacks.

Crazy huh?!

I can feel the baby's movements starting from the 4th month. I feels kinda funny but soothing, knowing that it's doing just fine in there.

*thank you, God!

.our first holiday

Maybe it's not a exotic as Bali, but I always love Singapore. Once arrive, we go to the apartment first to pop our stuffs. Then we meet Patris and Colbert at City Hall. Time to eat! They take us to a food court full of Japanese food. Yummy. Later that night we eat at another Japanese Restaurant with my siblings. Ok, I wonder if we are at Singapore or Japan?

Day 2 is filled with eating bakuteh for breakfast, shopping at Orchard and Far East, a small reunion with Ite and Onel at NYDC, then shopping at Plaza Singapore. Jeez, I feel so tired, am I getting old? Sorry, feet.

Day 3 we go to Vivocity and Bugis. Then we're having steamboat for dinner. Don't ask me where. Only my hubby knows. It's not popular among tourists, I think, but the restaurant is crowded and I can say that the Hainam Rice is so damn good.

The next day, I have to visit someone that I really hate but I have to. Sigh. He did something to me and I have to go back tomorrow. Huh. Thank God we have Far East and China Town. Then we go to East Coast to have dinner with Patris, Colbert and my sibs.

Last day, and like I said, I have to go back to his place. Just by looking at his face, I can tell that it's not a good news. Damnit. Why me? Why? Thank God, hubby is always beside me. For good times and bad times, rite, babe? Now, I just want to go home.
*jakarta... for the first time, i miss you...

.the island of gods

Three days after the party, we go to Bali for our honeymoon trip. For the next 4 days/3 nights we're going to stay at The Conrad, Nusa Dua. The hotel is very beautiful, with a view straight to the ocean and private beach for the guests. Our room has a back door that opens directly to the swimming pool. Nice.

Day 1. We arrive in the evening so after check in, we take a quick rest first before hitting Bali. At night we go to Kuta and have dinner at Gabah Restaurant. I like the Sate Lilit Ikan (Fish Satay) though it's a bit expensive.

Day 2. Sukawati. This really is a heaven for any shopper in the world. So many shops, so little time. But still, we bring home many shopping bags because the price is ssoooo cheap. Then we have lunch at the infamous Bu Oka before going to Goa Gajah. If you go here, don't forget to wash your hands (or feet maybe) with the water from the pond. They say it can bring you good luck. Dinner is at Jimbaran, watching the sun goes down. Beautiful.

Day 3. We make a bad decision to go outdoor today because it is so damn hot. Tanah Lot. GWK. Uluwatu. See? A very bad decision. Luckily, we're going to a spa after that. Feel so relaxed and ready to have another round in Jimbaran. Different restaurant, tastier food, same incredible view.

Last day. Just hanging around the hotel, waiting for our delayed flight because of the flood in Jakarta. Perhaps we can extend the stay for... let's say... another month? Haha.

*hope we'll see you again soon, bali!

.mrs modern

Finally, dear, this is the day.

The sweet torture starts from 3am, very early in the morning and finishes at 11pm, late at night.

After a session of applying heavy make up and hair spray, mom and dad join me to put on the accessories and close my veil. Then my lovely groom comes, bringing a very beautiful hand bouquet. It's a combination of white and pink tulips, very elegant and sweet. There's also 'Onde Eating' ceremony and Tea Pai Ceremony to respect the elderlies.

Moving on to the groom's house, we're doing the similar ceremonies all over again. Once we're done, we go to the church. Then it's time for me to walk down the aisle with my dad, the moment that I've been dreaming of. God, thanks for all this opportunity, especially to be standing here in front of You. Please always bless our marriage and our loved ones and surround us with lots of kids.

After that we go to the hotel for the wedding reception. We're so happy that all of our closest friends and family show up.

Thanks all! Thank you vendors. Thank you family. Thank you Yola, my maid of honour. Thank you Patricia, for going all the way from Singapore, and Iin from Manila, bringing a tiny bump inside. Thank you Astrid for your sacrifices to wear a gown *you look great, girl!*

*officially husband and wife
