.full of fun

Two of my closest friends live outside Indonesia, and it is very rare for the four of us to hang out together. But last week, they both managed to come to Jakarta and spent three consecutive days having fun.

Day one. Lunch at Tayang Suki, MOI and ride train with the kids around the mall.

Day two. Playdate at my house. I must admit it was a bit frustrating to gather three kids with different eating and napping schedule, but we really enjoyed it.

Day three. Mom's day out at Loewy, Oakwood Building Mega Kuningan. Kids were left at home with their grandparents. Then, three cocktails, three appetizers, four main courses, two desserts and three hours later we went home happily, cherishing our friendships.

*i wonder when we can do this again

.old treasure

My crafty projects has started years ago. In high school, me and Celly, my dearest neighbor, were selling frames that were made from recycled papers. Our friends loved it and there were no stocks left. Then we also created blank cards that could be used for any occasions. My little sister also loves craft. She took 'Membatik' as her extra-curricular activity when she was in high school. The next year she learnt Pergamano. Not to forget that my mom used to make dolls from scratch. I wonder how she did that. I think creative blood runs in my family.

Apparently my mom still keeps all the scraps and craft supplies that were long forgotten. Last week she brought that big box to my house and handed me down her sewing machine. I felt like a child opening her Christmas presents when I took out each item one by one from the box.

the box
fabrics

recycled papers

my favorite buttons

sponge sticks - bought in Japan and until now we still don't know how to use this

potpourri, seeds and grains

ribbons

.phantom ball

That was the theme for FTV Indonesia 1st anniversary, F Vodka launch and FTV magazine launch. My dear friend, Windy, is the art director for the magazine and she kindly invited us to join this spectacular event. Food and drink were bottomless, nice gowns were everywhere, celebrities and socialites were all over the place and me and hubby were having so much fun.

Our first red carpet! Well, actually they called this one black carpet. But who cares?

Too bad Windy forgot to inform us to bring masks, but fortunately they had some extra. So we got these.

Quite nice for free stuffs though I hoped I'd known earlier so I could buy *or at least make* one of the masks from Success Creations. My favorite is this Ginger one.

Party was over at 10pm, at least for me and hubby :) But we really enjoyed the event. We came empty handed and went home fully-loaded.

*eagerly waiting for the next event!

.a marble cake

I took this yummy quiz from blogthings and the result was:

You Are a Marble Cake

Eclectic, inventive, and peaceful.

You are never willing to accept what's "normal." You live to push the envelope. You find it hard to make up your mind. You prefer to have everything you want, right away!

Hmm... let me say that I actually enjoy normal thing, but yes, I prefer to have everything I want right away. Like this cute miniature from miniaturesbyrachel. Very cute and made with details.

*oh okay, i'm feeling hungry again right now
